Local legend turns 24, city celebrates
Friends report record levels of cake; sources confirm she is still the funniest person in any room.

MUMBAI: In scenes described by witnesses as “completely expected”, Geet turned 24 today, bringing the city to a joyful standstill.
Friends gathered from across the suburbs, several of them late, to mark the occasion. “She is the kind of person who remembers your chai order after one time,” said one close associate, who asked not to be named because he still owes her ₹500.
Over the past year Geet has survived a new job, three flatmates and one terrible haircut she insists was intentional. Through it all, sources say, she has remained generous, loud, and the first to show up when it matters.
Celebrations are expected to continue well past midnight.

You make every ordinary day better, and you never make a big deal of it. Thank you for showing up, for the terrible jokes, and for being exactly who you are.
Happy birthday. Here’s to the best year yet.
